Everybody is invited to join. We hope to get people with diverse skills and entrepreneurial minds.

For most events, participating is free. For some events we charge a small fee to make sure that those who sign up also show up. This helps us with planning. Registration is always required.

Even if you participate with your university course, please register first. As soon as the registration is open, you can register via Eventbrite. You can find the links on our event website and Facebook.

You will work through the course as a group of people with different backgrounds and go deeper into the prototyping process by applying it to a real-world innovation challenge provided for you.

A lot of openness to have fun, creativity, and everything else you need to be creative. Your laptop and presentation material can help you with that.

The main language is English.  For events in non-English speaking countries, the opening and closing parts will be in the native language and some company partners or mentors might choose their first language. You are free to pitch in English, make that the official language of your team and speak English while you showcase your prototype. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to ask the InnoDays Team.

You can choose whether you pitch your own idea or join a team. The challenges are announced before the event and we encourage you to prepare your idea before the event. You can seek feedback by sharing it in the closed Facebook group.

Absolutely. Please integrate video and others into your pitch as supporting tools. Also, don’t forget to keep the time factor in mind.

Your solution should solve the problem framed by the company. If you are already working on idea, try to make it relevant for the company to potentially get their support. The better you are able to solve the company’s innovation challenge, the higher the chance to get their support.

Teams form around the ideas on the first day of the event. The ideal team size is four. You can’t have less than three and more than five team members. So for your idea to be developed you need to convince at least two other people to join you. Each team is required to have three different roles represented: design, technical and business. You should also mix with students from other institutions. You will learn the most and get to the best outcomes if your team is mixed.

A jury, consisting of the company partners, sponsors and mentors will evaluate your solution to the challenge. They will consider the following criteria:

Feasibility: How feasible is it to realize the solution and did the team thoroughly think through all issues?

Innovativeness: How innovative is the solution?

Progress: How much progress did the team make within 48 hours?

Challenge fit: How well does the solution solve the innovation challenge?

Continuation: How motivated is the team to launch their prototype and collaborate with the company or start their own venture?
